Ahh. The misadventures of teaching! Some have hilarious tales while others have stories that make us want to stay under that warm, safe blanket in the mornings. But I, Christina Gamboa, being of sound mind and somewhat sound body will help guide us through these misadventures. Hopefully with some chuckles along the way.

Spring Is In the Air
Ahh Spring! The birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, the kids are wild animals. Don't you just love it?
Forgive me for sounding naive, but is it always going to feel this way? Chaotic? Overwhelming? Stressful?
I'm sure we all can agree that our lives are HECTIC. Some have husbands and children, others like me have three graduate classes. I know there is always going to be challenges. I guess I just need some reassurance that eventually I'll "have it all together" or at least look like do.
However, it is SPRING BREAK. I am going to enjoy my week off to the fullest and come back ready to take on the last few weeks until summer. Wish me luck.
To all those newbie teachers, I salute you. To the veterans, I admire you.
Love,
MissAdventure

I'm So Tech Savvy!
I made a video about myself to let you know more about me. It's not going to win any film awards by any means but I am super proud of myself! Enjoy!

What Will You Learn?
This super duper handy wonderful blog will contain:
- Challenges we might face everyday as teachers (young and old)
- Fun and new lesson ideas
- How to laugh at yourself when everything goes terribly wrong
Howdy!
Welcome! First things first, my name is Christina Gamboa and I recently just landed my very first teaching position!
*Hooray* *Applause*
For the next three months I will be teaching 2nd grade and y'all will get to see first hand the "miss"adventures of my very first classroom. It'll be fun! Well, that's what I keep telling myself.
So, let's get to know me a little better...
I'm a Texas native and proud of it! But somehow or another I ended up here in Louisiana.
I recently just graduated from Louisiana Tech where I obtained a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I just loved Tech so much and was probably feeling overly ambitious that day and decided to stay and pursue a Masters degree. I never thought teaching would be my path. Little did I know that it would be my passion. I guess I always thought I would be some sort of world traveler. Never knowing where I would be next. But I think I'm exactly where I need to be. We all are.
So here I am. Living in Louisiana and teaching second grade. Life's funny, ya know?
