This week our grammar focus is on contractions. For most of my kiddos, grammar is a snore. So I decided to make a little "craftivity" to spice it up. We made contraction caterpillars. They are super cute and they had a blast. The only problem was the man hours put in to create these little bad boys. They don't tell you in college how hard it is to create 23 copies of everything!
Ahh. The misadventures of teaching! Some have hilarious tales while others have stories that make us want to stay under that warm, safe blanket in the mornings. But I, Christina Gamboa, being of sound mind and somewhat sound body will help guide us through these misadventures. Hopefully with some chuckles along the way.

WooHoo! Testing is over. Being my first time with standardized testing, I think I was even more stressed than the kiddos! So after our tedious three days of testing I decided my students needed some serious fun. For the past two weeks fractions have been on our brains. So to put a fun spin on fractions I had them do a craftivity called "My Gumball Fractions". They LOVED it!
